Gmail Reader — Gmail Integration Privacy Policy
1. Who operates Gmail Reader and why
Gmail Reader is a private email-assistance integration operated by Maximo Cortese for personal use. It helps its operator search and summarize authorized Gmail messages and recall previous email conversations. It is not a public service and does not offer signup.
2. Gmail data we access
With authorization, Gmail Reader can read the following from the connected mailbox:
- Email addresses of senders and recipients
- Subject lines
- Message contents
- Timestamps and related message metadata (such as thread and label information)
3. How we use Gmail data
Gmail data is used only to provide the integration's features to its operator:
- Searching messages and answering the operator's questions
- Summarizing messages and recalling earlier email conversations
4. Read-only access
Gmail Reader's current Google authorization is read-only. It cannot send, draft, delete, relabel, or mark messages as read. Any additional permission would require a new authorization from the account holder.
5. Processing and storage
Gmail Reader reads messages on demand and does not keep its own copies of Gmail messages or of information derived from them. Messages are processed on the operator's computer.
6. AI processing
Summaries and answers are generated by AI models that run locally on the operator's computer. Gmail data is not sent to a third-party AI service.
7. Telegram delivery
The operator receives Gmail Reader's responses through a Telegram bot. When a response includes Gmail-derived information (for example, a summary or excerpt), that information passes through and is stored by Telegram as part of the chat, subject to Telegram's own privacy practices.
8. Sharing
Gmail data is not sold and is not shared with anyone other than Telegram, which delivers responses to the operator as described above.
9. Retention and deletion
Gmail Reader does not retain copies of Gmail messages. Responses containing Gmail-derived information remain in the operator's Telegram chat until they are deleted there. To request deletion of those messages, contact us using the address below.
10. Revoking access
The account holder can revoke Gmail Reader's access at any time from Google Account settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions). Revocation stops future access. It does not remove responses already delivered through Telegram; to request deletion of those, contact us using the address below.
11. Security
Gmail access is limited to read-only permission, Gmail Reader is used only by its operator, and Gmail content is processed on the operator's computer rather than by a third-party AI service.
12. Google API Services User Data Policy
Gmail Reader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Gmail data is not used for advertising, not sold to data brokers or others, not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending, and not used to train generalized AI models.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
